The Road Viewer Reviews
The Road

The Road gives an emotionally depressing, shocking, and haunting view of the world after a horrific catastrophe devastates all the animals and plant life. With most humans killed off, and with little food left, an unnamed father and son struggle together to remain alive. With some of the survivors resorting to cannibalism, the film comes to close to being a zombie-like movie. As they travel along the road, the fathers persevering love for his son becomes the main emphasis of the film.

Regrettably, this film sputters along with one scene just repeating the other. There is no real chemistry between the father and son.  The dialogue is confusing. The devastated landscape leaves the viewer feeling depressed and in a hopeless situation. The film misses its mark and just peters out. It is a road that is way off course.

Unbelievable Special Effects, Great Action, Great Actors, Great Director!
This film delivers "Big Time"!  No wonder that this film had the biggest dollar weekend opening of all time and a significant world wide income now over $500 million!  This movie is the blockbuster of the summer season. Don't miss it!

For the AVID Marvel comic fan the Avengers is a long-awaited thrill. Having seen Ironman, Ironman 2, Thor, several Hulk adaptations and Captain America numerous times I was prepared for the excitement and fun of The Avengers. This movie is a bit complex for watchers who haven't seen the aforementioned movies but they do try to give a bit of back-story without making the movie too long and complicated.

The action scenes while extremely intense and well-done; they manage to keep the humor and fun of the Ironman movies. I love Stan Lee's cameo it is ironic and fun! The entire movie theater seemed riveted to their seats throughout the lengthy 2 hours plus movie. It was one we will purchase!

American Reunion

American Reunion old friends and good times. Most of the original cast is back funny, touching and still a blast. Jason Biggs and Sean William Scott steal the film.

John Carter Viewer Reviews
John Carter

John Carter is the new sci/fi film based on a 100 year old book that Disney hopes will become their next big franchise, but unfortunately, it may soon be one of their most costly mistakes.John Carter cost over $250 million to make and market, but the visuals and story are about as incoherent and choppy as Star Wars:Episode 1. In fact, the alien race in this movie is populated by thousands of slightly less annoying 4 armed Jar Jar Binx's.The basic plot takes a civil war era solidier, and through the magic of a medalion, transports him to Mars where he becomes enslaved by an alien race. Thanks to his master escapist skills, he manages to get away and fall in love with a princess at the same time. What follows after that becomes so convoluted during the next two hours that all the viewer can do is take in the interesting CGI and wait to see how it ends.Surprisingly, the ending is actually fulfilling even if you have no idea how it got there, which is really the only thing that saves it besides the eye candy that is every perfectly sculpted human in this movie. As a fan of sci fi, the preview for Prometheus was far and away more entertaining than this entire film. Hopefully if there is ever an X-Men:Gambit spin off, Taylor Kitsch, who plays the title character in this film, won't come off as a cardboard cutout.

What a great movie. The guys did so well, you wouldn't know they aren't trained actors. The realism and action is incredible. Very fast paced. One of the few movies where the audience stood and applauded at the end.
