WWII VETS: Honor Flight To D.C.
99 veterans are on their way back to Fort Dodge after spending the day in Washington D.C.
With a goal of helping every veteran in America visit their memorial, the Honor Flight Network started nearly 15 years ago. Since its start they’ve transported more than a 100,000 veterans.
Top priority is given to their most senior veterans, especially survivors of World War II.
The group’s flight took off around six this morning. They are expected to land a little before 11 tonight.
